Hi there!

A Google Business Profile isn’t just a listing - it can be an appointment engine.  According to marketing experts, businesses with complete profiles (including photos and a booking button) get up to seven times more clicks than those without.

Customers increasingly expect to schedule services without leaving Google, and Reserve with Google makes that possible.  Below is a live example from Table at the Lake: you’ll notice a prominent “Reserve a table” button in the knowledge panel. This works for more than restaurants, salons, spas, even services.

Turn Your Google Business Profile into an Online Booking Hub

Step‑by‑Step: How to Set Up Reserve with Google

  1. Verify your Google Business Profile: Log into google.com/business and claim or verify your listing.  Ensure your name, address and phone number (NAP) are accurate, and upload up‑to‑date photos.  Only verified profiles can use Reserve with Google.

  2. Choose a supported booking partner: Reserve with Google relies on third‑party booking systems (e.g., Birdeye, Appointy, Mindbody, Square).  Select a partner that fits your industry and budget; most offer a free trial.  Create an account and add your services, pricing and availability.

  3. Connect your booking provider to Google:

    1. Sign in to your Google Business Profile manager.

    2. From the dashboard, choose Bookings (you might see it under the “Reservation” or “Services” tab).

    3. Click Sign up for bookings and select your provider from the list.

    4. Authorize Google to access your booking system.Once linked, Google will automatically pull in your services and available time slots.

  4. Configure services and settings: In your booking provider’s dashboard, verify each service’s duration, price and description.  Decide how much lead time you need (e.g., require 24 hours’ notice).  If you offer classes or group sessions, set the maximum number of attendees.  Most platforms allow you to send automated reminders and confirmations.

  5. Test the booking experience: From a separate Google account, search for your business and click the “Book online” button.  Go through the process just like a customer.  Make sure the calendar shows your real availability and that confirmation emails/texts arrive correctly.  Adjust settings as needed.

  6. Promote your new booking capability: Announce on social media, in email newsletters and on your website that customers can now book directly through Google.  Encourage your staff to mention it during customer interactions.

Setting up Reserve with Google is usually a one‑time project that pays off in ongoing convenience for customers.  Once live, the booking button appears in your knowledge panel, just like Table at the Lake’s listing, and can drive more reservations without any extra marketing spend.
