July 7th is National Chocolate Day but some folks might just want to call it an official month-long celebration. After all it can be good for you. The cocoa in chocolate contains flavonoids and flavonols that prevent cell damage and inflammation, it even helps with blood health. Whiskey Session: The Eagles Longest Road Tribute
Looks like you’re in luck! The Longest Road: Eagles Tribute presented by the Georgia Players Guild will take place at 7:30 p.m. on August 20th.
The Plaza Art Center’s got a “Peaceful, Easy Feeling” for you to sit back and enjoy. Feel the power of songs like “Victim of Love” and “Life in the Fast Lane” while fighting back tears of yesteryear from anthems like “Tequila Sunrise” and “Lyin’ Eyes.”
Don’t wait to grab your tickets for this show, but rather, “Take it to the Limit” and experience a fantastic night out at the Plaza.

Do you know when to hold 'em? Know when to fold 'em? When to walk away?
.... when to P O K E R R U N!?
Join in on the fun and discovery, Saturday, July 9th on Lake Sinclair. You also have the chance to win a $1000 CASH 1st PRIZE or a $500 CASH 2nd PRIZE. This will benefit Georgia's Old Capital Heritage Center at the Depot.
A Poker Run is a huge scavenger hunt for five designated sites on Lake Sinclair where you pick up sealed playing cards. Once at the final stop, participants open their envelopes, the player with the highest hand wins the $1000 prize and the player with the second highest hand wins $500.
There is an optional picnic lunch on Goat Island with all the trimmings. Lunch will be catered by Aubri Lanes where you can relax and meet other players. In addition, there is Lake Sinclair history to be learned.
