Beginner Pastels With Ann Dodys at Madison-Morgan Cultural Center

Instructor Ann Dodys brings a beginner pastels class to MMCC for the first time! The Madison-Morgan Cultural Center urges you to dive into the creative world of pastels with this unique series of six (6) three-hour classes held in the Hall on Foster. Class size is limited, so be sure to reserve your spot today!
Classes will be held every Tuesday, starting February 20 and ending March 26th, 2024. Registration fees for MMCC members is $185 and non-members $210. Please Note: art students will be required to purchase their own supplies.

Get Ready for The Big Event!

The Big Event is an exhibition of 180 local businesses, the family-friendly festival showcases home builders, suppliers, remodelers and other industry businesses, including appraisers, pest control, mortgage companies and more. A showcase for home and garden vendors, the event also spotlights arts and crafts vendors and features a popular boat show. A designated Kids Zone offers young children games, activities and face painting.
Attendees will enjoy food trucks and vendors, including Chick-fil-A, Southern Smoke Shack, Island Chef, Queen Churro, Kona Ice, Dough Daddy Dough, Five Finger Philly and Farmers Funnel Cakes.
A free family-friend event, The Big Event takes place rain or shine and parking is free. The Big Event aims to educate and expose the Lake Oconee community to the services, products and team members behind the Lake Oconee Area Builders Association (LOABA), and to endorse its associates, members and suppliers. Recognized as the hottest Queen tribute globally, the band, led by Emo Alaeddin, features a frontman dubbed the reincarnated Freddie Mercury, boasting both a remarkable vocal resemblance and a striking visual similarity to the iconic singer.
The live performances, complete with authentic costumes, transport audiences back to Queen's heyday, replicating the magic of the original band. The Kings of Queen, known for their live authenticity without overdubs, have consistently sold out venues and festivals since their formation in 2021, expanding their reach across various states and captivating audiences nationwide.
