SCORING
Participants in the challenge will benefit from a comprehensive full body scan. On December 30th and December 31st, a dedicated 2-hour window will be available for participants to undergo the scan. This opportunity extends from January 1st through January 5th, with a convenient 4-hour block each day from 8 am to 12 pm. This cutting-edge addition enhances the challenge experience, providing valuable insights for participants on their fitness journey.
Your body composition scan will measure the amount of bone, fat and muscle that you hold, your weight, circumference measurements and body fat percentage.
We will record your weight, muscle mass and body fat percentage and you will be scored on the average of change made after the 6 week challenge.
Payment of $99 due by December 29th

A permanent exhibit honoring an exceptionally talented family deeply rooted in agriculture and the arts of Morgan County.
Check out the MMCC’s newest permanent exhibition “The Andrews Family Legacy: Rooted in the Agriculture and Arts of Morgan County.” The exhibition showcases the artistic and literary contributions of members of the Andrews Family, including artist George ‘Dot Man’ Andrews, his wife Viola and their sons, artist and activist Benny and noted author, Raymond.

Winter Solstice Prayer Service at The Greensboro Episcopal Church of the Redeemer

Thursday, December 21 st at 12 Noon for the second annual Blue Christmas Prayer
Service. December 21 st marks the winter solstice, the shortest day of the year.
For many in our community, the Christmas season – and the time leading up to it –
are far from joyful. People within and beyond the community have experienced
deep losses that are poignantly felt at this time of year as loved ones are “supposed
to gather together and celebrate the holidays.” Others who live with chronic
depression often find that symptoms increase during the shorter days of December.
With this in mind, the Episcopal Church of The Redeemer in downtown
Greensboro is hosting its second Blue Christmas Prayer Service. A participant
from last year said, “I left with a little less heaviness and a lot more hope.” Last
year, the quiet atmosphere offered space for tears and deep thoughts; many left
with a renewed sense of peace for the holiday season. This service will again be a
safe place for those who wish to participate to bring their grief, depression, or loss,
and offer them to a loving God who desires wholeness, healing and peace for all.
The simple service includes silence, prayers, readings, gentle music, candlelight
and warm blankets for attendees who may participate at any level they feel
comfortable. The service will honor and give expression to sadness and point to
hope for the “lightening” of the days. All are welcome to this free event. For more
