Good morning!
Community is a word we use a lot around here, and this week I want to put it to work.
Two local events need your help, and both are good nights out. On Thursday, October 15, Neighbors Helping Neighbors hosts Monte Carlo Night at The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds. It's a fun, dress-up evening, and the proceeds support home repairs, reliable transportation, and beds for kids right here in Greene and Putnam Counties. Then in November, the Lake Country Players bring Come From Away to Festival Hall. It's a nonprofit community theater company, and a full house is how a show like this gets to happen.
Both are below, and both depend on neighbors showing up. If you've been looking for a way to give back that doesn't feel like homework, start here. Grab your tickets, grab a friend, and bring more friends.
We've also got new 2027 boats, a good pub in Madison, and a few trusted pros to help with holiday prep, because life at the lake is still life at the lake.
Thanks for reading, and thanks for showing up for this place.

If you've ever wondered whether assisted stretching is "for you," here's who InMotion sees most:
People living with chronic pain or stiffness
Desk workers who sit all day and feel it
Weekend warriors and everyday athletes
Anyone coming back from an old injury
The stressed-out, under-rested, do-it-all crowd (you know who you are)
Not sure which group you fall into? Start with a free assessment and let the team show you what a session looks like.

Hart & Crown Tavern: Now Is the Perfect Time to Dine, Indoors or Out
A drive to downtown Madison is an easy yes this time of year. Hart & Crown Tavern is a British-style pub on the square with an elevated menu, a serious whiskey, wine and ale list, and a roomy, comfortable space after its expansion. There's even a show kitchen, so you can watch dinner come together.
Pick a table inside or grab one outside, order the fish and chips, and make an evening of it.

Lake Country Players Present Come From Away
Community theater, right here at the lake, and it needs an audience. The Lake Country Players are bringing Come From Away to Festival Hall for a seven-performance November run, the true story of a small Newfoundland town that opened its doors to thousands of stranded travelers after 9/11, and the friendships that grew out of it. It's warm, funny, and moving, and it's a fitting story for a community that knows something about welcoming people in.
Tickets are on sale now. Choose a night, bring a friend, and make it a group outing, because this is the kind of production that gets better when the house is full.

Community doesn't build itself, and it doesn't fill a ballroom or a theater on its own either. Put Monte Carlo Night on your calendar for October 15, pick your night for Come From Away in November, and bring someone with you. Then book the stretch, test-drive the boat, and make that dinner reservation in Madison, because supporting local goes a long way in our community.
Thank you for reading, and happy October.
See you out there, Your Lake Oconee Life Family
